A mad scientist keeps alive the head of her girlfriend hoping to get her another body.

Inspired by the B movie, "The Brain That Wouldn't Die" (1962), we made this "tribute score" using some odd dialogues and sounds from the movie combined with our exquisite, free of forms, drums infested, electronic music. Some randomness was welcomed.

"Derzu" is a three headed band.Three friends who for years have been exposed to excessive consumption of pizza and bad movies. One day they decided to do something with all that creative overweight and began a project with the purpose of pay tribute to the worst movies they have seen.

We are: A. Sidaris, movie excerpts selector and mixer of the tracks; R. Dante, in charge of many digital instruments, and S.Meyer, electronic percussionist, and the first to fall asleep in our movie sessions.

We call ourselves "Derzu" in honor of the lead character on Akira Kurosawa´s "Dersu Usala" (1975), the natural man whose encounter with civilization leads him to ruin. We were like him. Once children who run naked until we sink into the well of western popular culture. And we now dont know who we are anymore.
